Bridging official Shapez 2 mechanics and the Shapez2 Hub catalog: compatibility, filters, performance, sharing, and how Submit works with (or without) a connected database.

Version & compatibility
Blueprint codes vs saves, EA vs 1.0, throughput changes
Can I use my Early Access blueprints in the 1.0 full release?
Yes. While Early Access save files are not compatible with 1.0, blueprint codes remain compatible across versions. Community designs migrated to Shapez2 Hub can be pasted straight into your 1.0 factory.
Why is my old blueprint less efficient in version 1.0?
The 1.0 "Dimensions" update changed Space Belt throughput behavior. If a layout no longer "fills the belt", use the throughput and tagging filters on Shapez2 Hub—look for high-throughput layouts and titles that mention 1.0 or FSB-optimized belts.
Can I preview multi-layer 3D blueprints on Shapez2 Hub?
Yes. Blueprint detail pages include an interactive 3D preview of placements from the decoded string so you can inspect layers and wiring orientation before copying the code into the game.
Downloading & using blueprints
Terminology (FSB / USB), gates, fluids & logic filters
What do "FSB" and "USB" mean? Which one should I download?
FSB (Full Space Belt) layouts aim to saturate a multi-layer Space Belt—common for endgame throughput. USB (Unstacked Space Belt) layouts use less than a full stacked belt throughput—often for early transitions or tighter footprints. On Shapez2 Hub you can filter by throughput and island size to match your goal.
Why can't I paste the code I copied into the game?
Unlock "Blueprint Library" in the tech tree first. Blueprints may also reference buildings or tiers you have not researched yet—for example Fluid or Logic—so check Stage and taxonomy on the Hub page before importing.
Do these blueprints support the new 1.0 Fluid and Logic systems?
Yes—use Community filters such as Fluid & dyeing or Logic where available. Listings integrate with the same taxonomy slice you see while browsing Shapez2 Hub.
Gameplay & performance
Steam Deck, UPS, previews
Is the game playable on Steam Deck?
It runs for many players, though it is not an officially endorsed configuration. Smaller-footprint blueprints (for example compact or 1×1-friendly layouts) are easier to manage on a handheld screen—filter by footprint on the catalog when you build on Deck.
Will deploying massive blueprints lag my PC?
Shapez 2 is well optimized, but huge builds can still stress your machine. Prefer listings that emphasize lean building counts or UPS-friendly goals; the site shows structure counts and BOM summaries to help you judge scope before you commit in-game.
Is there support for 4K or ultrawide monitors?
The game supports high-resolution displays. On Shapez2 Hub, screenshots and the interactive preview help you read belt direction and layout at a glance on large screens.
Advanced features & community
MAM, mods, sharing
What is a MAM, and where can I find one?
A MAM (Make Anything Machine) is a factory that can be reconfigured or scaled to ship many shapes. Use category filters aligned with logistics and scaling on Shapez2 Hub—from "modules" toward full-machine builds—matching how authors title their uploads.
Can I upload blueprints that require mods?
Steam Workshop is part of official 1.0 support. When you publish via Submit, spell out mod requirement in your title/description and consider obvious keywords so players can recognize modded shells before importing.
I found a great design; how do I share it with friends?
Every catalog entry lives at a permanent URL `/blueprint/<id>` where `<id>` is eleven digits: eight for the date (`YYYYMMDD`) plus a three-digit sequence (no separator). Copy the link from your browser’s address bar on the blueprint detail page, or forward that page directly—friends can read the BOM and paste the same string without downloading a separate file.
Publishing & Submit
Publishing form, tags, Supabase, and BOM preview
What do I need to fill in before I can publish from Submit?
Title and blueprint code are required. Optional fields include comma-separated Keywords, Milestone label (Early / Mid-game / Endgame), and a screenshot Image URL hosted elsewhere—the form merges everything we can derive from parsing your string.
How are tags assembled when I click Publish?
Tags combine three sources: Keywords you typed, keywords inferred from the title, plus light auto-hints parsed from structures (such as recognizing logic-heavy BOMs). They are capped for storage readability—check the live Tags preview chips before submitting.
Can I see the BOM and stats before the blueprint goes live?
Yes. Paste your code once and the Submit form shows parsing errors if any, an Auto summary with building counts, layers, wires, plus a BOM table—same parser that powers the wider catalog.
Why does Submit say “Database not connected — nothing was stored”?
Community publishing writes to Supabase when NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL and NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY are set and the blueprints table exists. Without that configuration, you can still draft and validate locally, but Publish will not persist rows online—configure the project and SQL migration, then submit again.
Is my submission stored only in my browser?
When Supabase is configured, successful publishes go to the remote database and appear in the community flow you see after refresh. Without it, nothing leaves your machine except what you copy yourself—treat it as a dry run until credentials are in place.
About Shapez2 Hub
Freshness, accounts, roadmap
How do I know if a blueprint has been updated for the latest patch?
Check version labels and milestone text on each detail page, and whether the author calls out 1.0 or a recent patch in the title. Community uploads may update over time—revisit entries you care about after major game patches.
Can I use Shapez2 Hub as my personal "cloud" blueprint library?
The hub focuses on anonymous public submissions—there are no accounts or synced libraries. Bookmark blueprint detail URLs, export strings yourself, or use your browser favorites to build a personal list you can revisit from anywhere.
Will the platform be updated alongside official game updates?
Yes—that is the intent. As Shapez 2 grows, Shapez2 Hub will expand filters, catalog metadata, and submission tooling so the community has one up-to-date place to discover and share layouts.
